Reconciliation Action Plan

At Younity, we are steadfast in our commitment to reconciliation, inclusion, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Reconciliation is more than a goal—it is a journey of learning, growth, and collective action. It is both a privilege and a responsibility to contribute to healing, unity, and meaningful change.

About the Artist - Shani Mustey

I am an artist who stems from a family of creators, each expressing themselves through unique styles and mediums. Their influence, combined with the wisdom of my art teachers and significant community members, inspires me to create works of art that tell stories, send messages, and make meaningful statements.

The painting I created for Younity’s RAP is a contemporary work, completed with the approval of an Elder and Traditional Owner from the Deception Bay area. It’s central theme is unity and cultural pride.

At its heart is a gathering of people of diverse backgrounds—cultures, ages, genders, and experiences—symbolizing the coming together of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with others in a safe and celebratory space.

This imagery mirrors the mission of Younity HQ and its commitment to reconciliation. The Deception Bay landscape, depicted with its shoreline, flora, fauna, and animal tracks, anchors the painting to its Country while celebrating its vibrant community.
